Cash on Delivery in the Philippines
Safe Cash on Delivery for British groceries anywhere in the Philippines, with PHP 100 nationwide delivery and careful packing from our chillers to your doorstep.
Cash on Delivery made simple
Cash on Delivery (COD) is the easiest way to enjoy your favourite British groceries in the Philippines if you prefer to pay in cash when your parcel arrives. There’s no need for online banking, credit cards or e-wallets — you simply pay the courier in cash at your door.
At UK Food Store, COD is available for almost all orders nationwide. We combine a fair PHP 100 nationwide delivery fee with careful packing, chiller storage and clear communication, so your order arrives safely — from Heinz beans and Yorkshire Tea to Cadbury chocolate, jams, sauces and Fray Bentos pies.
How Cash on Delivery works step-by-step
Here’s what to expect when you choose Cash on Delivery at checkout:
- Place your order online. Add your favourite products to the basket and choose Cash on Delivery as your payment method at checkout.
- Order confirmation. You’ll receive an order confirmation by email (and optionally Messenger/SMS, if requested) with your order summary and delivery address.
- From chillers and shelves to box. Our team prepares your parcel from our chillers and warehouse shelves, using protective packing to keep tins, jars, glass bottles and chocolates secure during transport.
- Handover to the courier. Your parcel is handed to our partner courier with your name, address, contact number and COD amount clearly stated on the label.
- Delivery updates. The courier may send SMS or app notifications on delivery day. Please keep your phone available and answer calls from unknown numbers during this time.
- Pay the driver in cash. When the driver arrives, simply check the total on the waybill and pay in cash. No extra COD fees should be requested beyond what appears on the label.
- Check your parcel. Once you’ve paid and received your parcel, open it and check that everything looks good. If you notice any issues, message us within 24 hours with clear photos so we can help.
If you ever feel unsure at any point in the COD process, please contact us before paying so we can guide you and make sure everything is correct.
Where Cash on Delivery is available
We aim to offer Cash on Delivery to as many areas of the Philippines as possible, including Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Delivery times can vary depending on your exact location.
Metro Manila & nearby areas
COD is usually available with standard delivery times. During peak seasons like Christmas, deliveries may take a little longer, but we and our couriers work hard to keep parcels moving.
Provincial addresses
We regularly ship COD parcels to provincial areas — from major cities to smaller towns. Some remote barangays may require a longer delivery window or a pick-up at the nearest courier branch.
Very remote or limited-access areas
There are a few locations where COD may not be supported, or may require special arrangements. If you live in a very remote area, please message us before ordering so we can confirm the best option — COD, branch pick-up, or an alternative courier.
Our goal is always the same: to get your British groceries to you in good condition, at a fair price, with a payment method that feels safe and convenient.
Packing, chillers and delivery safety for COD orders
The Philippine climate can be challenging for imported food, especially chocolate, spreads and tinned meals. We treat every COD parcel with exactly the same level of care as a prepaid order.
- Chiller storage before dispatch. Temperature-sensitive items are kept in our chillers until just before packing, to help protect quality in transit.
- Layered packing. We use sturdy cartons, internal padding and smart positioning of heavier tins so biscuits, chocolates and fragile jars are protected.
- Clearly labelled parcels. COD amount and key handling notes are shown on the label so the courier can process your delivery smoothly.
- Reasonable dispatch timing. During very hot periods or extreme weather, we may adjust dispatch days to reduce unnecessary time in transit.
Our guiding rule is simple: we only send parcels we would be happy to receive ourselves — even when they will travel several days through a courier network to reach you.

Order limits, special items and cancellations
Order size and special requests
For very large orders or bulk quantities, we may ask for a short confirmation via message before dispatch, or suggest splitting the order into more than one box for safety. This helps us protect both your items and our stock.
Some limited or high-value items may be restricted, or may require partial prepayment. If this applies, we will always explain the options clearly before shipping.
If you need to change or cancel a COD order
If you need to change your address, update your contact number or cancel a COD order, please message us as soon as possible. Once a parcel is handed to the courier, changes become more difficult, but we will still assist where we can.
Failed or refused COD deliveries
When a COD parcel reaches the destination and nobody is available, the courier may attempt redelivery or ask you to collect at the nearest branch. Repeated failed attempts can lead to the parcel being returned to us.
We understand that life happens — sudden travel, emergencies or schedule changes. If you know in advance that you may not be home, please contact us so we can coordinate the best solution with the courier.
Important: because we ship food items, our after-delivery support window is 24 hours from receipt. Please do not accept parcels that are visibly badly damaged. Take clear photos of the box before opening and contact us right away so we can help.
Responsible COD customers help us keep Cash on Delivery available for everyone across the country. We truly appreciate your cooperation.
